Sinaia is one of the most famous and oldest mountain tourist resorts in Romania, known as "The Carpathian Pearl". Situated in breathtaking mountain scenery, Sinaia is located at 120 km distance from Bucharest, on the Prahova Valley.
Blending astonishing beauty of nature with picturesque architecture, Sinaia is a formal royal residence and bears a holy name, that of Mount Sinai.
The joint conference of 7th IFAC SSSC and 15th IFAC TDS will be hosted by Palace Hotel, built in 1911 and located closely to downtown Sinaia, and within walking distance to Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle (one of the best-preserved royal palaces in Europe which served as the summer residence of the first king of Romania, Carol I). This stylish hotel is the best choice for pretentious tourists, for conferences and meetings.
Participants interested in reserving a room at the Palace Hotel are kindly informed that rooms are available for booking at a reduced price until the 15th of July 2019. For this, participants need to get in touch with the hotel and specify their conference attendance: Palace Hotel.
The simplest option of getting to Sinaia is by taking a flight to Bucharest; the International Airport Henri Coanda (also known as the Otopeni Airport) is well connected to the rest of Europe and all major airlines have flights to and from this airport.
